The House Oversight Committee has published a batch of around 70 photographs obtained from the property of former found guilty individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the latest in a series of disclosure from a larger collection of more than 95,000 photos the body has obtained from Epstein's estate. It features photographs of quotes from the novel Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured photos of female foreign passports.

This action comes hours before the December 19th deadline for the DOJ to disclose every documents associated with its probe into Epstein.

"These photos bring up additional questions about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its holdings," stated the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Images Released

Several of the photos released on this week feature Epstein in discussion with professor and activist Noam Chomsky inside a private plane; Bill Gates standing alongside a individual whose face is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a desk across from Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the most recent affluent, prominent men to be seen in Epstein estate photographs released by the committee - earlier released images also depict US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, previous US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the images is does not constitute proof of any wrongdoing, and a number of the photographed men have stated they were never implicated in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a announcement issued alongside the photo publication, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer context or dates for the images.

"Images were picked to offer the American people with transparency into a typical cross-section of the images acquired from the property, and to offer perspectives into Epstein's associates and his exceptionally alarming behavior," the statement says.

The disclosure also includes multiple photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in dark ink across different parts of a female's body, including her torso, feet, hipbone, and spine. Lolita recounts the tale of a adolescent who was groomed by a middle-aged literature professor.

A particular passage from the book scrawled across a female's upper body reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the point of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a number of images of female identification and ID papers from countries globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the IDs, including names and birth dates, is obscured but the committee stated in a announcement that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were engaging".

An additional image depicts Epstein seated at a table closely in the company of three female figures whose faces have been redacted - one has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his garment, and a second is leaning to look at a nearby computer. Epstein appears to be aiding the third individual attach a piece of jewelry.

An additional photograph made public is a screenshot of text messages from an unknown individual who says they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are asking for "$$1,000 for each individual".

Photograph Release Comes Prior to DOJ Deadline

The body has a vast number of photos in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "at once explicit and ordinary," its statement on Thursday explained.

The Congressional committee first subpoenaed the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on accusations of sex trafficking, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein property gave to the body are separate from what is largely referred to "the Epstein files". Those are papers in the justice department's possession connected to its independent investigation into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Donald Trump signed into law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to disclose its files. The scope of what is included in the DOJ's files is unknown, and it's expected that a significant portion of the information will be heavily censored, similar to House Oversight Committee materials
