Ariana Grande attended an event in Singapore for the international premiere of Wicked: For Good

Passionate followers of the actress are urging that a individual who leaped a barrier and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being taken in", though court documents indicated that he was set to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed contains clips of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more comment on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore attendees had waited to greet the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including some who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the popular Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two very different witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, earning two for outstanding attire and set decoration.
