The Streaming Giant Chooses Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The platform declared this week that the talented performer has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that figure reimagined as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and animated series.
The new cast member joins a number of new cast members who will portray Baroque Works to reality, such as chief Mr. 0, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the ensemble as the monarch of the fictional land.
Even though Bon Clay is a important part of Baroque Works, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this signals a notable change in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal additional alterations to the plot development.
Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the character. In addition to their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
