English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.

These three athletes have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the last year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The three contenders were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.

The 2025 recipient will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
