The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The celebrated game designer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, as reported by.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and all those touched by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
